The event is still scheduled to take place

The UK Government and Public Health England have indicated that the risk in the UK from the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) remains low.  Their advice, together with that from the Royal College of Surgeons where the event is taking place, is as follows:

  • If you have travelled from mainland China, Thailand, Japan, Republic of Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia or Macau in the last 14 days and are experiencing cough, fever, or shortness of breath:
  • Stay indoors and avoid contact with other people
  • Call NHS 111 to inform them of your recent travels and follow their advice

The Royal College of Physicians will be providing hand sanitisers throughout the public areas of the venue as the advice from the UK Government and Public Health England is that hand washing is particularly effective at preventing the spread of COVID-19.
