Report 1:

Mileage (points) Expiration Rates (%) by World Region

Africa: Points in African FFPs have a clear below average lifespan

Asia Pacific: More than 50% of all FFPs still feature an expiry after 2 or 3 years only -

versus 42% for the global average only

Europe: European FFPs represent very much the global average, thanks to a recent trend to become more generous regarding the mileage expiry policy

Latin America/Caribbean: There is no such thing like a middle approach. Some FFPs are fairly restrictive on one side, but the percentage of FFPs without mileage expiry is above the

global average as well on the other side

Middle East: Having a generous mileage expiry policy is still much a USP in this region.

No FFP has a non-expiry policy while the region features the only program worldwide

with a 10-year expiry policy

North America: Almost two thirds of all programs don't have any mileage expiry - double the value of the global average. Interestingly enough, also programs with a 1-year expiry

account for double of the global average
