Best Practise Programme Profile:

Meridian Programme & Meridian Corporate Style

by Daria Korotkova, Head of Frequent Flyer Dept., AeroSvit

Less than half a year ago, AeroSvit Ukrainian Airlines greatly changed the concept of its frequent flyer programme - Meridian. Some of these changes included:

  • Switched from points to mileage based system following the industry standard
  • Offered more miles for high-value full fare tickets
  • Reduced miles required for all award flights worldwide
  • Introduced a wider range of awards including special, companion child, and very soon, on-line awards
  • Expanded non-airline partners network
  • Improved programme accessibility at every AeroSvit office

On 1 November, we also launched Meridian Corporate Style- a new corporate loyalty program, offering our most valuable corporate customers a unique opportunity to reduce their company’s travel costs and feel more privileged! AeroSvit Ukrainian Airlines operates to 43 international destinations in 29 countries and covers 11 destinations within the Ukraine, so flying with Aerosvit is a good business decision and through our corporate loyalty program, we will satisfy the needs of lucrative business travelers.

Meridian Corporate Style allows the accumulating of miles every time an employee flies with Aerosvit or uses a Meridian partners’ services. Miles can then be easily exchanged for bonus trips and upgrades as soon as the company achieves the Corporate Mileage Minimum (CMM).

Premium Meridian Corporate Style: CMM is 60,000 miles

Elite Meridian Corporate Style: CMM is 120,000 miles

An MCS member company is free to continue purchasing tickets from travel agents, directly from Aerosvit offices or via www.aerosvit.com. Some additional opportunities for Meridian Corporate Style members are:

  • Miles for using non-airline partners services, including car rentals, hotels, restaurants and banks
  • Free delivery of tickets
  • Special corporate service desk at AeroSvit offices
  • Business lounge invitations
  • Free additional baggage allowance
  • Waiting list priority
  • Free date change
  • Maximum possible time limit
  • Optional incentive accrual for company’s employees
  • MCS manager at company’s disposal

Members of Meridian Corporate Style may continue their membership in Meridian Frequent Flyer Programme, but miles will be credited only to one of the member’s accounts.

Through MCS we hope to create a strong tool to keep corporate clients and win new ones.
