Stuart Evans has broad experience in designing and running added value customer relationship programmes - over a 13 year marketing management career this has included generating Member Benefits for The AA's 6 million personal members, marketing Hertz Europe’s relationships with airline frequent flyer programmes plus running BA Miles and other consumer and corporate relationship marketing programmes for British Airways in both USA and Global loyalty management positions.

As Planning Director and now General Manager. Europe with ICLP Stuart has been involved in the design and launch loyalty programmes for clients like Manchester United Plc and Rezidor SAS hotels plus delivered strategic marketing projects for Star Alliance and Virgin Atlantic as well other non-travel clients. Thorsten Hanisch heads a Business Process Management department at arvato services, one of the world's largest direct marketing service providers, serving over 35 million customers worldwide. At arvato, he is in charge of all Lufthansa related projects, training and quality assurance. With his team, he develops, supports and optimizes systems and procedures throughout the Lufthansa Miles & More BPM architecture with facilities in Germany, Los Angeles and New Delhi. Thomas organization steers and manages the worldwide Miles & More Service- and Fulfillment Centers that handle Customer Care issues related to the Frequent Flyer Program (e.g. customer feedback management, rules and regulations, ticketing and account management)

His team is responsible for a worldwide Miles & More service concept, which includes the communication of program features and handling advices via a web based online application as well as product development and IT-implementation for automated Miles & More services for LH and its Partner Airlines (Swiss International Airlines, Austrian Airlines, LOT, Adria Airways, Air Dolomiti, Air One and Croatia Airlines).

Dominic is co-founder of Loylogic and its resident loyalty expert. Before launching Loylogic, he was EVP of Sales and Business Development at Qualiflyer/Loyalty Gate (today known as ICLP) in Zurich, Switzerland and responsible for the development of the Swiss TravelClub, SN Brussels Privilege and TAP Victoria frequent flyer programs. Prior to this he worked with Lufthansa Miles & More in Frankfurt, Germany, where he played a key role in the design of the Lufthansa Worldshop. Scot Hornick, Partner, Aviation, Aerospace & Defense, Oliver Wyman

Oliver Wyman Scot Hornick, a senior Partner in the Aviation practice at Oliver Wyman, helps airlines and other travel industry companies formulate new pricing and customer relationship strategies as well as develop the processes, technology, and organization to enable them. He focuses on helping clients improve profitability through analytic approaches to pricing, yield management, loyalty programs and customer relationship management, and distribution channel management.

Previously, Mr. Hornick was CEO and Managing Partner of Fenix Partners, a consulting boutique focused on the travel and transportation industries. Earlier he was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers; spent ten years at Andersen Consulting, where he was an Associate Partner leading the Strategic Services travel industry practice; and was an Adjunct Professor at Northwestern University. He holds two U.S. patents in revenue management and airline seat inventory control plus serves on the Advisory Board of the Professional Pricing Society.

Mr. Hornick has a B.S. in computer engineering, a M.S. in electrical engineering, and a Ph.D., all from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Pascal is a Director currently based in EDC's San Francisco office. He has been with Edgar, Dunn & Company (EDC) since 1999 and has worked in the London, Sydney and San Francisco offices. Robert Brunner, CEO, RBH Financial Group
Bob is currently the CEO of RBH Financial Group, Inc. RBH incorporated in 2006 to develop and market a business process designed to relieve the pressure on a company’s balance sheet due to the accumulation of unredeemed points in their loyalty program. This patent pending program enables companies with loyalty programs to improve their balance sheet, operating cash flow and operating results. He is also the president of B2 Consulting, Inc. which specializes in consulting related to the travel industry.

Bob’s an active member of the Board of Directors and is Treasurer of the British American Business Council. He is also an active Board Member for a Marketing Scholarship Fund which enables up and coming British Executives to attend a Marketing Certificate program at the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.

Bob Brunner had a diversified career at British Airways for 30 years and held executive positions in Sales, Marketing, Cargo, and Finance prior to starting his own businesses. His responsibilities ranged from restructuring their frequent flyer program including developing an ancillary revenue program, starting new routes, instituting a business to business loyalty program, developing a new revenue accounting system and finally as director of sales.

He also served as the Chairman of the Board of the British Airways Employees Federal Credit Union for 10 years, as a member of the Board of Directors for the World Trade Center, Denver, as a Board Member of the Chicago Fine Arts Building and was a member of the Executives Club of Chicago.

Patrick Grubbs, Industry Director – Travel & Transportation, Oracle Corporation

Patrick has over 18 years experience in aviation / transportation industry in the areas of operations, finance, marketing, integration, implementation, consulting, and sales & account management.

He began his career at United Parcel Service in an operational capacity, before moving to American Airlines, where he initially managed several operational groups, including customer service, ramp services, and cargo operations in the field before taking additional leadership roles at American’s headquarters. There, he was instrumental in helping American and American Eagle forge marketing and alliance partnerships across the globe and drive the implementation of new technologies for the airline.

Transferring to Sabre Holdings before it was spun off from AMR, Patrick continued to gain more experience in IT project management, marketing, strategy, business planning, and technology sales. While at Sabre Holdings, he lead the sales efforts for the Airline Solutions division in EMEA and the Americas.


In his current role, Patrick leads Oracle’s Travel & Transportation Industry Business Unit for the Americas. Oracle’s Travel & Transportation IBU is comprised of several sub-segments, including: airline, airports, hospitality, travel agencies, global distribution systems, cruise lines, car rental, roadway, rail, logistic service providers, sea ports, and providing value-based solutions into the Travel & Transportation market.


Patrick holds a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business in Dallas, Texas and a Bachelor of Arts, Law & Society from the University of California Santa Barbara.

Barry Green, Head of CRM & Loyalty, Etihad Airways

Barry currently holds the position of Head of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and Loyalty within the Marketing Department at Etihad Airways. He is responsible for the Loyalty Programme Development and Operation, Guest Affairs, Customer Intelligence, and Campaign Management.

He has worked in the Airline Industry for about 10 years – previously at Swissair and SWISS International Airlines. During his time at Etihad, Barry has worked on the launch of the Etihad Guest loyalty programme, and also many CRM initiatives to improve the service offered to passengers.


Barry worked as an IT consultant in many different industries before being introduced to the complexities and addiction of working in the Airline industry. He has found that his experience and expertise in IT has proved to be extremely useful in the CRM field, as so many of the CRM initiatives depend heavily on Information Management.

Ryan C. Green, Director Customer Loyalty, Southwest Airlines

Ryan has worked for Southwest Airlines for six years, during which time he has lent his talents to various areas of the Marketing Department. A marketer at heart, Ryan believes in the power of brand loyalty and Customer satisfaction which has laid the foundation for his current position as the Director of Loyalty Marketing. Ryan’s passion for Customer Service complements his leadership of Southwest Airlines’ award-winning frequent flyer program, Rapid Rewards. He is also responsible for overseeing Southwest’s preferred partnerships and co-brand credit card business, and spends most of his day developing the strategy that will launch Rapid Rewards into its next era.

That new era means that Ryan is already leading Rapid Rewards through a significant amount of change. His advocacy for innovation has revolutionized the Rapid Rewards program, contributing to double digit growth in membership and more than a 40% growth in partnership revenue since assuming his role. Adding new features to Southwest’s loyalty program, like the Rapid Rewards A-list, has significantly enhanced the customer experience while generating incremental revenue for Southwest Airlines.

Earlier in his career with Southwest, Ryan lead the development, and managed the marketing launch, of the southwestgiftcard. He also laid the groundwork for numerous inflight experience enhancements at Southwest Airlines – including broadband internet connectivity.

Prior to Southwest Airlines, Ryan spent time in Marketing at Dell Computers and Trinity Industries. Today, Ryan has a wonderful wife and two boys (ages 1 and 3), and the four of them enjoy traveling and spending time together.

Alok Verma holds a MBA from Carlson School of Management, Univ of Minnesota, USA, DBM from IMDR, India, and B.E. from IIT-Roorkee, INDIA. He has around 18 yrs. of experience and brings with him a successful track record in handling management, consulting, technical, Pre-sales roles across various industries & IT services companies.

His work experience with ITC in last 6 yrs includes working as CIO for ITC’s Tobacco division where he was responsible for entire IT Strategy, Operations and significant projects like SAP&APO and Sales Management Information systems, CIO for ITC WillsLifestyle Retailing Division where he implemented new ERP, POS and Loyalty solution. Prior to ITC, he worked as Enterprise Partner & Marketing Manager in Microsoft India. Earlier, Alok worked in US for 7 yrs. (93-99) with companies like Oracle as Practice Head, Sr. Principal consultant with Computer Horizons, Mastech, etc. He started his career with Tata Motors (TELCO) as Project Lead in 89.

Jeff is responsible for developing and implementing global airline marketing programs at Boeing with staff located in Seattle, Dubai, London, Beijing and Mumbai. Prior to joining the Boeing commercial marketing team, he spent thirty years on the airline side of aerospace. During his airline tenure he held management positions in customer relationship management, loyalty marketing, business travel programs, call center management, airline alliances and worldwide sales. Cacy holds undergraduate degrees from the University of Alaska, the University of Washington, and an MBA from the University of Washington. Born and raised in Alaska, he now resides in Seattle, Washington.

Hakan Unlu, System Development Manager, HITIT
Hakan Unlu heads Hitit’s Product Development Team. He is an aviation fan since his childhood and has over 20 years of professional experience in airline industry. His professional life has started in Turkish Airlines IT Department in 1987 where he had managed a number of large scale projects. In 1998 Hakan has joined Hitit to lead product development. Under his supervision, Hitit developed a wide range of airline software which helped it to become one of the fastest growing companies in Europe, Middle East and Africa in 2006 and 2007. He has deep experience and knowledge on many areas of airline IT, including revenue accounting, reservations, departure control and loyalty applications. Hakan holds a BS degree in Computer Engineering and an MS degree in Cognitive Science.

Aytun Demiral, Sales Director (EMEA) Loyalty & CRM, IBS Software Services
Aytun has over 14 years of experience in the airline industry. She has began her airline career working at AMR Corporation Operations Division right after graduating from St. John’s University with MBA in Executive Management. She also holds a BS degree in Business Administration from St. John’s University.

Aytun later joined Turkish Airlines as the Sales Coordinator at New York Office responsible for fare and rules filing through ATPCO, group fares, reservations and travel agency contracts in the sales department. In short, she held various positions at Turkish Airlines from April 1994 to October 2003 after being transferred to head office in Istanbul ranging from international relations and agreements specialist to assistant manager for agency affairs. Aytun’s latest position was the Manager of Product Relations responsible for setting up and running the new Miles&Smiles Frequent Flyer Program after leaving Qualiflyer Group Alliance.


From October 2003 to February 2006, she worked as the Customer Relations Manager of MNG Airlines based in Istanbul, Turkey plus consultancy work for Hitit. From February 2006 to February 2008, she became the Marketing and Sales Manager for all the products of Hitit Computer Services ranging from loyalty to customer relations. Aytun recently left Hitit and joined IBS Software Services as the Sales Director of EMEA Region for Loyalty & CRM.

Kimathi Marangu is a recognized expert in loyalty marketing, affiliate marketing and e-commerce. Kimathi has been a contributor to Colloquy, DMNews and MarketingProfs, interviewed by Fox Business News, and quoted in USA Today, BusinessWeek.com, New York Newsday, Red Herring and others.

Prior to co-founding Mall Networks, he ran a consulting business, Seaspray, whose clients include Apple and Teleflora. Kimathi grew Apple's affiliate program into one of the largest in the industry. He also established Apple's U.S. search and comparison shopping partnerships with Google, Yahoo! Shopping, Shopzilla, Overture, Shopping.com and PriceGrabber.

Vikram Raman, Manager Partner Marketing, Spirit Airlines
As the Manager of Partner Marketing for Spirit Airlines, Vik Raman is responsible for leading the low cost carrier’s partner marketing efforts with a focus on increasing non-ticket sales to support the airline’s ultra low cost business model.

Since joining Spirit Airlines in 2006, Raman has been instrumental in growing the carrier’s non-ticket sales by 300% percent, spearheaded the airline’s online mall partnership with Mall Networks, and also manages the airline’s FREE SPIRIT customer loyalty program, which has grown to over 1.6 million members since its launch in February 2006. In addition, Raman developed and oversees Spirit’s $9 Fare Club, manages the FREE SPIRIT credit card relationship with MasterCard, and supervises the airline’s industry partnerships, including Hertz, AIG Travel Guard, and Hotels.com, among other travel-related companies.

Bratati Ghosh heads the Airlines Practice worldwide for TCS. Earlier she was the Director, Travel & Hospitality Practice for TCS in the North America geography. Bratati joined TCS 4 years ago after ten years in the North America Travel domain. Before TCS, Bratati was a Senior Director at Expedia, and also served as a Director of e-Commerce at Worldspan. In 2002, Bratati was named a Rising Star of the Travel Industry by the Travel Agent magazine. Bratati has an undergraduate degree in EE from IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Kanpur, and an MBA in Finance & Business Strategy from IIM Ahmedabad, India.

As Vice President, Sales with Canadian Airlines, Rob led a team of over 250 employees throughout North America, delivering over $2 billion in annual revenue.

Mr. MacLean was also responsible for the airline’s award-winning Canadian Plus loyalty program. In that role, Rob led his team to double the program’s revenues in just two years, to over $120 million, as he repositioned it from a frequent flyer program to a broader loyalty program with over 200 partner relationships. His strong leadership was reflected in a dramatic turnaround in customer satisfaction levels for the Canadian Plus program.

British born Vicky Elliot graduated from Hosta Hotel & Tourism School in Switzerland in 1992 from where she was recruited directly by Hyatt Hotels & Resorts. During her 14 year tenure with Hyatt, Vicky worked in hotels in London and Paris in Food & Beverage and Rooms management followed by various corporate marketing roles in their Europe, Africa and Middle East divisional office including marketing analytics, loyalty and partnership marketing and marketing communications. Mark Drusch, President, e-Miles
Mark Drusch joined Brierley+Partners in 2004 as EVP Loyalty Strategy and began working with Hal Brierley in 2005 to launch e-Miles, the only online channel that rewards members with frequent flyer miles for reading and responding to advertisements, and expand e-Rewards in the US and globally. e-Rewards is the leading online panel research company in the US and has recently expanded into the EU, Canada, and Mexico. He brings over 20 years of travel experience to his position as President of e-Miles, where he is responsible for launching and developing the business globally. Under Mark’s leadership, e-Miles and e-Rewards have signed multi-year partnership agreements with most of the major North American and EU airlines and continue to expand globally. Prior to e-Miles, Mark worked for Delta Air Lines as Senior Vice President of Network Management, where he was responsible for $16 billion in passenger revenue generation through planning, scheduling, revenue management, and the commuter carrier partners. While at Delta, he launched the carrier’s successful network to Latin America and the Caribbean from Atlanta, restructured the trans-Atlantic operations to achieve record profitability, and installed industry leading revenue management technology. In addition, Mark recognized early the opportunities the internet offered Delta, and structured its participation in Priceline, which resulted in a $1 billion gain for the airline.

During Mark’s tenure at Delta achieved its highest income levels, driven by industry leading unit revenue production and asset reallocation. Prior to Delta, Mark held several officer positions with Continental Airlines, including Vice President of Strategic Planning and Vice President of International Affairs. At Continental, Mark launched the first trans Atlantic 757 services from Newark, enabling new industry services to secondary European markets, expanded the Houston hub into Central and South America, as well as secondary cities in Mexico, and opened the Newark gateway to Latin American markets. Hatem’s 25 years career include stints in hospitality, travel, banking and Information Technology (IT). He joined Mercator, the Emirates Group IT Division, on inception 12 years ago. Hatem then held various roles, including Head of Airline Financial Solutions line-of-business. He currently manages the Sales & Accounts in Europe, North & Latin America regions across product lines. The products include successful Customer Relationship Information System (CRIS) FFP solution, industry-leading Revenue Accounting RAPID solutions and the ground-breaking New Generation cargo system SkyChain, which replaced combined functionality of 23 legacy systems. During Hatem’s tenure, Mercator grew from serving only Emirates to be a leading global aviation IT solutions provider with more than 100 airline customers.


Prior to joining Mercator, Hatem was Assistant General Manager in charge of electronic banking products development at a prominent regional bank. Earlier he worked 7 years at American Express Int. Middle East, last heading Abu Dhabi office, and 3 years marketing Inter.Continental Hotels in Saudi Arabia. Hatem holds Business Administration & Economics degree from the American University of Beirut and executive education certification from University of Michigan Business School. Santiago Ontañón, CEO Frecuenta - Grupo Mexicana's Loyalty & CRM Company
Santiago Ontañón, 41, is Executive Vice President of Loyalty Programs for Grupo for Mexicana de Aviación (MX) and CEO of Frecuenta - Grupo Mexicana´s FFP. Previously, as the corporate CIO of Grupo Mexicana, he undertook a complete transformation of the legacy IT platforms.

Before joining Grupo Mexicana, he was General Manager of Computer Associates in Mexico and before that, Deputy Postmaster General of Mexico.

He holds a B.S. in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from the National University of Mexico where he graduated with honors, and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. He started his professional career as a consultant with McKinsey & Co. in the areas of Telecommunications, Transport and Government. In 1995 he was part of the group that made Direct To Home Television a reality in Mexico, working for Grupo Televisa as Director of New Technologies and as an active participant in the operation of Sky Latin America. Marcin Kosciak is a senior consultant at Comarch, one of the leading IT systems integrators on the Polish market and one of the leading global software houses.

Marcin Kosciak’s responsibilities include the development of loyalty and loyalty card systems, and the IT services that accompany them, for large corporations across the globe. From the very beginning of his career at Comarch, Mr. Kosciak has initiated and formulated many innovative solutions that have made their way into Comarch Loyalty Management, one of the world’s most advanced loyalty management systems. His duties also encompass consulting – concept development, the creation of business plans and project management. Mr. Kosciak is the director of the consulting centre responsible for the development strategy for Comarch Loyalty Management.

Marcin Kosciak graduated with a degree in Management from the Krakow University of Economics as well as a degree in Education from Rzeszow University. His past experience includes work as a university lecturer in the area of project management. D. Scott Kimbriel, , has more than 30 years of experience in the airline and travel industry. He has worked as an Airline Research Assistant on Wall Street, an Aviation Consultant,Financial Analyst at American Airlines and at STSC, Inc., a Maryland-based computer time-sharing company, which purchased American Airline's interest in the American Airlines AAIMS database business.

In 1983, Mr. Kimbriel founded Amadeus Revenue Integrity, Inc. ARI (formerly Airline Automation, Inc. - AAI) to pursue PC-based software development opportunities in the commercial airline and travel industry. Mr. Kimbriel developed a successful niche for ARI in its early years by pursuing connectivity of airline computer reservation systems (CRS) with PC-based solutions. Most recently, ARI is noted as a world leader in the area of Revenue Integrity.

An alumnus of the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut, where he majored in Business/Finance, Mr. Kimbriel makes his home in Tucson, Arizona, with his wife, Allison, and sons Nicholas & Evan.
