eConference Returns to Muscat, Oman

The 2nd Annual “eConference” sponsored by Lufthansa Systems, will take place on 8 and 9 November at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Muscat, Oman, hosted by Oman Air. This year’s event will build upon the successful First e Conference held in Frankfurt, Germany in September 2005. Continuing in the tradition of the First eConference, this year’s event will examine airline eCommerce from a holistic approach, breaking down the silos between different marketing and IT departments within an airline. eConference 2006, themed as “eROI: Achieving Return” will focus on return upon the IT investments made by airlines, particularly in the area of distribution.

Speakers will include senior executives from Etihad Airways, Jet Airways, Kingfisher Airlines, Qatar Airways, Oman Air, Lufthansa Systems, TACV Cabo Verde Airlines and many other leading airlines and industry suppliers.

The agenda will stress hands-on presentations with question and answer sessions and panel/audience discussion forums led by experienced airline professionals, allowing delegates to seek information directly from their peers and take away practical knowledge. In addition to panels on Distribution, eTicketing and eCommerce, some additional agenda presentation topics will include:

- Achieving Return from your IT Investments
- Managing Multi-Channel Distribution
- Profiting from Changes to Distribution Channels
- Latest Interline eTicketing Solutions
- Preventing Revenue Leakage through Revenue Integrity
- Gaining ROI from CRM
- Branding your Airline Online and Off
- Earning Incremental Revenue from Online Advertising
