Report 2:

One-Way Awards Issued by World Region

Africa: Opportunities of discounting one-way awards still need much to be discovered in Africa

with more than 80% of all FFPs offering no discount at all

Asia Pacific: There is no clear trend in Asia Pacific regarding this aspect. FFPs happen to

represent here very much the global average

Europe: The leader in terms of percentage of all FFPs when it comes to offer one-way awards

at the customer-friendly 50% rate. Almost 30% of all programs go down this road - almost 10 percentage points ahead of the global average

Latin America/Caribbean: Discounted one-way awards are virtually unheard of in this region showing the highest percentage of non-discounting FFPs of all regions - but if they're

discounted, a 50% level is applied across the board

Middle East: The only region where more than 50% of all programs apply discounted one-way awards. The region is only slightly behind the leader Europe when it comes to the percentage

of one-way awards offered at 50%

North America: It can be clearly seen that one-way awards were not invented in North America.

Five out of six programs still do without any discount for one-way awards - an opportunity to differentiate for those few choosing a different way
