There are two Bangkoks- the ancient soul of Thailand with its long and fascinating history and the modern metropolis that embraces the latest trends, both Eastern and Western. With 12 million people, Bangkok is not only the biggest city in Thailand, but also one of its most interesting with the country's most beautiful temples and shrines.

Famed for heavy traffic, the Skytrain, which opened in 1999, and the subway, which opened in 2004, coupled with the river express boats make moving around most parts of the city relatively easy.

There is no shortage of things to do and see in Bangkok including the visting its requisite temples, taking a river cruise, seeing a Thai boxing match, exploring its flower markets and taking advantage of it diversified nightlife.
