Michael was formerly a board Director of British Airways Global Financial Services Limited. This included responsibility for developing mileage sales with partners such as American Express, GE Insurance, Avis Car Rental and bringing onboard all the brands within InterContinental Hotels and Resorts portfolio.Prior to joining BA, Michael was the Marketing and Administration Director for the Financial Services Division of Great Universal Stores plc (at the time, the UK’s largest mail order company with 6 million customers.)
Michael is a founding principal of AncillaryMarketplace + Partners, a wholly owned division of Airline Information, where he leads the development of ancillary revenue streams for the group's airline customers. He also runs his own consultancy business, SeaMountain. He is based in Glasgow, Scotland where he graduated with an MBA from the University of Strathclyde Business School as well as having professional qualifications in Marketing and Banking from the UK’s Chartered Institute of Marketing and Chartered Institute of Banking respectively.

James is originally from Canada and has lived in Japan and Hong Kong and made Canada his home for the last 9 years.

Sander Maertens has a solid background within the e-commerce playing field. After graduating in Banking & Finance he founded a small internet company (with e-payments as one of it’s services) , and two years later started with Capgemini Netherlands as a payments consultant. During his career he mostly worked in the financial industry on various e-banking solutions. During 2007/2008 he worked with KLM on the (re)development of their central online payments engine and several online (ancillary) services. Within Capgemini he is an active member of the Centre of Excellence Aviation and leader of the Cards, e-payments and mobile payments expert group.

Darryl is part of the business development team at GlobalCollect, the world’s premier payment service provider of local e-payments. Darryl brings 10 years of experience in the payment industry with him, having held key roles in customer service, integrations, engineering, and consulting. In his current position, Darryl consults companies in the travel industry to expand their global e-commerce activities by offering a wide array of preferred payments methods. Among others, clients include airlines, online travel agencies, cruises and car rentals.
Prior to joining GlobalCollect, Darryl held a Lead Engagement Manager position on PayPal’s merchant services team, where he was responsible for managing PayPal’s integration with leading e-commerce merchants like1-800-Flowers, Barnes and Noble, Disney, and Time Warner and partners such as Paymentech and UATP. During the latter part of his tenure, Darryl supported PayPal’s expansion into the airline industry, assisting Northwest Airlines, Southwest Airlines, US Airways, Jetblue, and Delta to integrate PayPal payments into their sales platform.
Before that, Darryl was a senior software engineer for CyberSource Corporation, a provider of electronic payment and risk management solutions. In this role, he was responsible for designing and developing the core back-end infrastructure while also building new payment gateways for domestic and international banks and payment processors.
Darryl is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles with a degree in English Literature.

He is highly regarded as one of the foremost innovation leaders in the online payment processing business. His career has spanned almost twenty five years in payment related businesses, starting with fourteen years in the financial service sector.
He founded Realex Payments in 2000 and since then the business has grown rapidly to a position of inspired leadership in the online payment processing business. The payment exchange concept, which he conceived has proven to be the market winning approach in that it offers a strategic solution which addresses the core issues. Today Realex Payments process in excess of €5Bn for 3,000 businesses.
Colm has long been involved in the airline sector and Realex Payments run www.airplinepayments.com - a site dedicated to the issues of the airline payments business. Colm is firm believer in strategy and presents on the need for strategy in the context of airline payment processing - the site's tag line summarises the concept - "where strategy and payments take off".
The European payments landscape is changing with the Single European Payments Area (SEPA) and in 2006, Realex Payments launched www.sepa.ie - an expert industry site providing an analysis of the impact of SEPA on the business community. Colm is a frequent commentator on SEPA.
Colm is a regular industry speaker. In 2005 he was acclaimed and rewarded for his leadership when he was a finalist of the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. As an industry figure he was Director and Chairman of the Irish Internet Association for over four years - during which time the association significantly enhanced its position. He has been invited (2008) by Enterprise Ireland (Irish State) to participate in the Steering Group to devise the strategy for the Irish Software Sector. He is a graduate of University College Dublin with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master of Management Science Degree.
Over the last three years he has spent further time in Harvard, Shanghai Business School and is currently enrolled with Stanford Business School.

Since finishing a Master’s degree course at the University of London, Atle has over 20 years experience in the travel and payments industry. This includes time at Citibank, where he was responsible for marketing transactional cash management and foreign exchange payment solutions to a wide variety of European travel companies (travel agents, tour operators, airlines) in the UK, Benelux, Scandinavia, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Since leaving Citibank, Atle has been involved in marketing risk management solutions to the Investment Banking community, in northern Europe and southern African geographies. Atle now heads up the new business activity providing e-commerce payment processing and fraud management solutions to the merchant community within the European travel sector, on behalf of Retail Decisions. The growing portfolio of Retail Decisions travel clients includes KLM, Opodo, Travelocity, Thomas Cook and leading China travel operators elong.com and C-trip.

As European Business Development Manager for CyberSource, Tim is responsible for strategic partnerships across European enabling the link between financial institutions and online vendors. He is responsible for identifying business opportunities and nurturing partnerships through understanding the European payments and travel market. His areas of expertise include online payments, fraud management and payment security, and he regularly advises merchants across multiple verticals, including travel, retail and finance, on these areas. His technical background coupled with his payment expertise ideally positions Tim to work across Europe ensuring companies are able to architect their payment processes and risk management strategies. His opinions are sought after throughout the payments industry and his expertise is often sought by journalists and analysts.
Prior to joining CyberSource in 2006, Tim spent more than ten years at Whitbread PLC in various roles across the organisation. He transferred to a technical role at the head office where he joined the ePOS team, his first experience of the e-payments world, before moving the technical support team. His last position at Whitbread was within the architecture and infrastructure team for more than 600 restaurants across the UK. This team was responsible for the architecture across the entire company including designing and maintaining the restaurants’ network from point of sale through to the head office.

Jon spent seven years with Visa Europe in various roles in e-commerce and within the Acceptance Department. He was responsible for expanding the deployment of Verified by Visa and enabling secure Visa payments in authentication in emerging channels. Previously he was responsible for the Visa work within the Airline Industry.

Mr. Long, a certified public accountant, has been combating financial and ecommerce fraud for over 15 years. He began his professional career in 1990 with KPMG's Chicago office where he focused on audit, litigation support and forensic accounting investigations. In 2002, Michael was hired by Orbitz, the travel website, to build the credit card fraud prevention department. Unable to find a complete solution anywhere in the market, Michael worked with the other Accertify founders to build and architect a comprehensive and efficient platform to combat card-not-present fraud that resulted in millions of dollars in saving for the organization. Michael was also an original member of the Merchant Risk Council and served on its Board of Directors. Maarten joined KLM’s E-Business Department in 2005 as Manager E-Payments. In this role, he acts as the linking pin between the 65 countries in which KLM sells online and KLM’s E-Commerce Department. Maarten is responsible for optimizing the local payment portfolio, finding a mix that best serves KLM's online customers and increases KLM's online sales volume, while decreasing fraud and distribution costs. He is closely involved in offering 3D secure within KLM and for aligning the new online payments with Air France’s payment processes.
After obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration at the HEAO in Amsterdam, Maarten joined KLM Royal Dutch Airlines in 1990. During his earlier career at KLM, Maarten has held the positions of a commercial and financial nature. In 2002 Maarten joined KLMs’ Traxxer Department which was responsible for both the acquiring and issuing business of Credit Cards. In this department he was responsible for the KLM UATP card, as well as KLM’s co-branded corporate and consumer (frequent flyer) Credit Card (American Express).
